Terms and Conditions

It is once again time to collect the fees that help us to provide this service.  Through the cooperation and dedication of the citizens of the Town of Brighton and the residents of Tipton County within Brighton’s fire district we have been able to improve our services by leaps and bounds.  We plan to re-test for a new ISO rating early in 2006, which should in turn lower homeowner’s insurance in the area. The yearly subscription fee is vital to this effort in the fact that we cover as many people in the county areas as we do inside our city limits, but have no tax revenues from the county areas to supplement our income.

You can pay either a one-time full year’s payment by clicking “make a payment” at the top left OR choose to have $2.00 per month deducted from your account to ensure that your subscription is kept up to date by clicking the option below that.

Benefits:  By paying the yearly fee you could save hundreds of dollars in the event of a fire. The normal base charge alone is $500.00.  Normally, this would be charged to the insurance company, and then any remaining balance would be forwarded to the resident.  If the fee is paid however, all remaining balances will be voided and no more payment will be due.  In short, the resident will never be billed for any service provided by the fire department. In addition, the fire department is starting a burn permit program in March in order to help in the prevention of wildfires and out of control open burning.  If the subscription fee is paid, there will be a considerable reduction in the cost of the permits.
