I was born in Brighton, Tn in 1937, I had 4 sisters and 1 brother. Two of my sisters are deceased. I attended Brighton schools and graduated in 1956. My first job was at the cotton mill in Covington. I got married in 1959 and worked at several different jobs until I joined the Air Force Reserves.
Upon returning home I went to work for Memphis Sash & Door Company and then was hired as a machinist at Parts, Inc. where I worked for 20 years. I went to work for Lingera Motor Works, who bought out the machine shop at Parts, Inc. I worked there for 11 years and then in 1997, I was hired in the maintenance department at Brighton High School, where I worked for 7 years until I retired.
My wife Anita and I have 3 children, Teresa, Brian and Christie, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. In 2012, I was elected as a Brighton alderman for the first time. I enjoy gardening. As a family, we enjoy camping and fishing and we are very active in our church.
